History

U-Pull-It’s first southern site was purchased in 1997, which was at the time vacant farming land, in Lonsdale in Adelaide’s south. U-Pull-It proceeded to develop the 10 acre site selling off thousands of tonnes of top soil and bringing in 1000’s of tonnes of rubble to seal the entire site with crushed compacted gravel.

In 1998 U-Pull-It constructed the 500sqm warehouse & sales area, fenced the entire site with 2m screen fencing and 3m electrified security fencing to provide security but to also ensure a pleasing aesthetic for those located in the area.

The grand opening of the Lonsdale site was held in March 1998 with a skeleton staff and with over 400 vehicles already available for dismantling, U-Pull-It was ready to recycle motor vehicles.

Over the next several years U-Pull-It grew, our exceptional team continued to grow in size and U-Pull-It’s number of available of vehicles grew to over 1,200 – it was time for a northern expansion.

In 2002, U-Pull-It Elizabeth was built on another 10 acre site and in 2012 U-Pull-It opened it’s third site at Gillman 2012 on a 4 acre block which includes an 8000sqm indoor self service area.

U-Pull-It currently has a team of approximately 35 valuable employees, including management, administration, sales, marketing, stock controllers, equipment operators and truck drivers. Our dedicated and experienced team enables U-Pull-It to recycle in excess of 800 vehicles per month with around 3,000 vehicles in stock at any one time.
